The materials:

The body of the moulds is made from chrome-plated steel to ensure a clean cut of the rolled dough sheet. The central disc, thanks to an anodised aluminium spring mechanism, is designed to press the filling evenly and produce a perfect half-sphere.

The colours:

Marcato moulds are available in three different colours: Copper Bronze, Pale Gold and Gun Metal. The special finish is made using PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition), a process that deposits a fine metallic film over the chrome, giving a striking look and hardening the surface.

The woods:

The mould handles are made from solid wood with a natural wax finish and laser engraving. They have an ergonomic shape that makes the grip stable and easy to use. The woods are matched to the various colours:

• Copper Bronze - Mahogany.
• Pale Gold - Beech.
• Gun Metal - Canaletto walnut.
