A commercial dishwasher washes and rinses in cycles of just a few minutes, with the power and hygiene that professional service demands. Types of commercial dishwashers
Professional glasswashers. Designed for bar glassware: the Sammic Active AX-40 features auto-start, dedicated cycles selected via icons and an electronic panel with IP65 moisture protection; the Ultra UX-40 adds Hydroblade wash arms and guaranteed disinfection to the DIN 10534 standard.
Undercounter dishwashers. Standard front-loading machines such as the Active AX-50 and the Ultra UX-50 LITE slot in under the bar or worktop and are the go-to equipment for a restaurant's daily crockery.
Hood (passthrough) dishwashers. For higher service volumes: the Active AX-100 features the flow opening mechanism, which raises the hood with less effort, plus stainless steel surface filters for intensive use; the Ultra UX-120 makes working upright easier thanks to its height, front loading and lift-up hood.
Glass rinsers. The compact alternative with no electrical installation: the Hamilton Beach glass rinser (13.3 x 16 x 16 cm) connects directly to the tap and rinses a glass in seconds as you press it down, with a polycarbonate body and stainless steel nozzle; and the BCR200 rinsing station — the companion to the BCR100 glass rinser — cleans glasses, lids and small utensils with pressurised water, a removable AISI 304 stainless steel rack and suction-cup feet. Ideal for smoothie shops, coffee shops and fast-service bars.
Sammic Active or Ultra range?
Both families are made from stainless steel with deep-drawn wash tanks and are backed by Sammic's more than 50 years of experience in professional warewashing. The Active range keeps things simple: auto-start, icon-based programmes and an IP65 electronic panel. The Ultra range is aimed at professionals with the most demanding hygiene requirements: guaranteed disinfection in compliance with the DIN 10534 standard (Sani-Control), the THERMAL LOCK function that ensures rinsing at the ideal temperature for disinfection, deep-drawn bodywork with rounded corners that prevents dirt from building up, and a compact wash tank delivering 50% water savings compared with the previous range.
How to choose your commercial dishwasher

What is the difference between a glasswasher and a commercial dishwasher?
A glasswasher is more compact and optimised for glasses and bar glassware, while a dishwasher takes plates and full crockery. Within the same Sammic family, the AX-40/UX-40 is the glasswasher and the AX-50/UX-50 the undercounter dishwasher.
Undercounter or hood dishwasher?
The front-loading undercounter model fits under the bar and covers a restaurant's everyday service. A hood dishwasher lets you work standing upright, load from the front and raise the hood, so it performs better with large volumes of crockery and in kitchens with a dedicated wash-up line.
What are DIN 10534 disinfection and the THERMAL LOCK function?
They are the hygiene guarantees of Sammic's Ultra range: disinfection is certified in accordance with the DIN 10534 standard (Sani-Control) and the THERMAL LOCK function prevents rinsing until the ideal temperature for disinfecting the crockery has been reached.
