They must always be kept clean, so if you see any residue on them you'll need to wash them.

My valve doesn't always turn, and when it does a lot of steam comes out all at once.. is that normal?

Hello Julia, in principle yes, that's normal. The valve doesn't start to act until a certain pressure is reached; once that pressure is reached, it releases the excess through there. The valve doesn't need to spin like the old ones used to. Kind regards.

The LACOR Classic pressure cooker will be your pressure cooker for life. Made from the finest 18/10 steel. Triple sandwich-type heat-diffusing base and a silicone seal that increases its durability.

It has 3 safety systems: the locking bridge, the rotary valve and the safety valve. A 3-year guarantee and the option to buy all kinds of spare parts such as seals, handles, knobs and so on.

This pressure cooker from the Spanish manufacturer LACOR shows the contents inside with maximum and minimum fill marks, indicated in litres. This is important so you don't exceed two-thirds of its capacity.
