I'd need to know the external dimensions and what type of power it uses — whether it's AAA batteries or LR44 button cells. Another thing I'd need to know: can the sensor cables be disconnected from the unit? Because otherwise you'd have to make a sizeable hole in the fridge wall to insert the probes, a hole you'd then have to plug afterwards to stop heat getting in.

Hello Albert. It runs on 2 AAA batteries, which are included. As for the probes, there's no need to drill the fridge; the thermometer has a magnetic base, you place it on the body of the fridge near both doors and feed the cable inside through the doors, and when you close the doors the rubber seal stops the cable from being damaged while also sealing where the cable passes through. The Lacor model 62456 fridge and freezer thermometer monitors both temperatures at the same time: it has two probes and two independent digital displays, one for each compartment. One probe reads from 0 to 70 ºC (fridge) and the other from 0 to -40 ºC (freezer), and an alarm with an audible beep and a flashing red light warns you if the temperature leaves the correct range. Its magnetic base lets you fix it to the fridge door or any metal surface, always in plain sight.

How to set it up
