Description
The Sammic CF-5 manual chip cutter is the professional solution for catering, food trucks, restaurants, school canteens and contract catering that need to produce fresh chips quickly, evenly and to menu standard. With an estimated output of 100 to 150 kg/h, it easily outperforms domestic cutters and needs no electrical connection.
The 8 mm gives a "thin" bistro- or brasserie-style chip — it cuts faster and takes on more flavour. The 10 mm is the standard commercial chip cut, the ideal balance between quantity and texture. The 12 mm gives a "thick" steakhouse- or gourmet-style chip, with a tender inside and a crisp outside.
If you need more than one thickness, you can buy the CF-5 set with an additional pusher-grid as a spare.
Does it need mains electricity?
No. It is a 100% manual cutter, operated by a lever with a return spring.
Does it work with products other than potatoes?
It is optimised for potatoes, but it also works with vegetables of a similar firmness (courgette, thick carrot). It is not efficient with soft products.
Are the containers interchangeable with other GN in the catalogue?
Yes, they are standard Gastronorm 1/3 containers, interchangeable with any other GN 1/3 in the catalogue. Containers not included, purchased separately.
Do all three blades come with each model, or does the blade change by model?
Each product code (1020060/1020061/1020062) comes with just ONE blade of the stated thickness. If you need more thicknesses, you can order a spare pusher-grid from the Sammic catalogue.
