Why I love the Inoxibar Absolut paella pan

The Inoxibar Absolut Black paella pan is a warp-resistant cast aluminium paella pan with PFOA-free Greblon C2 non-stick coating and a 6 mm heat-diffusing base suitable for induction, gas, ceramic hobs and the oven up to 220 °C. It is made in Spain in 32, 36 and 40 cm (2.5 to 3.6 litres) and comes with two heat-insulating mitts.

The real standout is its full induction diffuser bottom with a 6 mm thickness. You notice it when you want even cooking: fewer "hot" spots, fewer scares with the rice and a very good response on induction as well as ceramic and gas hobs. What's more, with the base designed for easier cleaning, everyday use becomes really convenient.

Greblon C2 non-stick, PFOA-free: durability and peace of mind

The Greblon C2 coating is built to last and to keep rice from sticking easily (as long as you use suitable utensils). It is also PFOA-free, an important point if you care about cooking with more responsible materials.

Ideal for rice dishes and oven finishes (up to 220 ºC)

Where it really shines is in oven finishes: when I want to finish off a rice dish, lightly grill the top or complete the cooking evenly, it holds up with no trouble to 220 ºC. That "finishing touch" is exactly what a lot of people are after for certain styles of rice.

A very practical detail: it comes with 2 heat-insulating mitts, which help a lot when you move from hob to oven or when the table is ready and you want to serve safely.

Dishwasher? Yes, but with one tip

It is dishwasher safe, so if you're in a hurry it gets you out of a fix. Even so, to extend the life of the non-stick coating, I usually recommend gentle washing where you can (a non-abrasive scourer and washing-up liquid), especially if you use it often.
