Description
Arilex's toughened glass GN1/3 containers, 40 mm deep, are the more visually striking alternative to traditional stainless steel containers. Available in five colours (red, black, blue, white and clear), they are designed to add a touch of colour and design to heated tapas displays, refrigerated cabinets and neutral display units in tapas bars, design-led cafés, modern patisseries and boutique hotels.
Made from toughened safety glass, they withstand a bain-marie up to 90 °C and positive refrigeration without altering their physical properties or colour. The clear glass enhances the natural colour of the food (salads, fruit, seafood), while the matt colours (red, black, blue, white) play on the contrast with the tapa to catch the customer's eye.

These glass containers are ideal for giving visual identity to the front of a tapas bar or a cold buffet. The colour of the container is coordinated with the venue's branding: black for elegance and contrast; red to draw the eye to cold tapas; blue for fish and seafood; white for desserts and pastries; clear to show off the product itself without distraction. They are used in heated tapas displays in a bain-marie (maximum 90 °C) and in refrigerated cabinets and neutral display units, always within the usual catering range.
The toughened glass containers are washed by hand or in a commercial dishwasher on standard cycles (no glassware mode needed). They should not be subjected to sudden temperature changes (filling them with cold water straight after taking them out of a 90 °C heated tapas display). Toughened glass copes very well with impacts to the face but can chip if dropped on the edge; store with care. Dry thoroughly before storing to avoid limescale marks.
For new-generation tapas bars, cafés with a pincho counter, restaurants with a cold buffet, hotels with a design-led breakfast, premium patisseries, gourmet fishmongers and any business that wants to stand out on presentation. The best approach is to combine containers in several colours to create a visual palette in the display that guides the customer by product type.
Arilex selects the toughened glass at source and subjects each batch to quality control. The containers are sold as an official accessory for Arilex displays but, thanks to their standard GN1/3 dimensions, they also fit most HORECA equipment on the market.
