Description
The Garhe 20-litre manual meat mixer (reference 00914) is the motorless version of the brand's bowl mixers. It is made entirely of stainless steel: bowl, lid, frame, shaft and paddles. It is driven by a side hand crank and the bowl tilts 90° for emptying. Garhe recommends loads of up to 10 kg of minced meat or 5 kg of dough so that the crank turns without effort.
In our catalogue it replaces the 32-litre manual mixer, which Garhe no longer makes. The new bowl is smaller, but the unit is steadier, with rubber feet, and the spiral paddles sweep the whole bowl instead of a few loose blades. If you would rather have a motor, the same bowl is sold as the electric meat mixer in 20 and 40 litres.
Meat for sausages. This is its traditional job when making sausages at home: mixing the minced meat with salt, paprika, garlic and spices until the seasoning is evenly spread, without warming the meat with your hands or tiring yourself out. Ten kilos per batch covers a family's sausage making in a few turns; once the mix is ready, you tilt the bowl and tip it into the sausage filler.
Dough. The paddles turn over bread, pasty or churro dough, up to 5 kg per batch. It is not a hook mixer: it works the dough by slow turning, which is what suits soft doughs and keeps them from heating up.
Set it on a sturdy table, fill the bowl without exceeding the recommended load, close the lid and turn the crank. With meat, a few turns in each direction are enough to spread the spices; dough takes longer and should not be rushed. To empty it, open the lid and tilt the bowl over the container or the sausage filler.
Everything that touches the food is stainless steel. After use, remove the shaft with the paddles, tilt the bowl and wash it with hot soapy water; there are no corners where meat or dough can build up. Dry it well before putting it away.
For a family sausage-making session of a few dozen kilos split into batches, the manual model does the job and needs no mains socket. If you are going to mix more than 10 kg per batch or knead often, the electric meat mixer with its 1.5 HP GR9 motor does the work on its own and comes in 20 and 40 litres. You can see the whole range under mincers and mixers, alongside the Garhe mincer-fillers.

Up to 10 kg of minced meat or 5 kg of dough. The bowl holds 20 litres, but it is not filled to the top: the paddles need room to turn the mix over and the crank has to turn without effort.
Yes, that is its main use. Mince the meat, put it in the bowl with the salt, paprika and spices and turn the crank until the seasoning is evenly mixed. Then tilt the bowl and the meat goes straight into the sausage filler.
Yes. The shaft with the paddles lifts out without tools and the bowl tilts, so everything can be washed with hot soapy water. It is stainless steel throughout.
It has no motor: it works with the hand crank. If you want it to do the work on its own, Garhe makes the electric mixer with the same 20-litre bowl and a 1.5 HP GR9 motor, as well as a 40-litre model.
In a single parcel of 53 × 36 × 44 cm weighing 15 kg, containing the bowl, frame, lid and crank. It is assembled in a few minutes with no special tools.
