Description
El pan es oro.
More than 150 easy, homemade recipes arranged into 45 menus by the best chefs in the world (René Redzepi, Ferran and Albert Adrià, Alain Ducasse, Daniel Humm, Joan Roca, Andoni Luis Adúriz, Gastón Acurio, and Virgilio Martínez among others), made with everyday ingredients we all have in our fridges and cupboards. You'll also learn to cook popcorn pesto, created by René Redzepi, Yoshihiro Narisawa's teriyaki burgers, Ferran and Albert Adrià's rice pudding and much more.
The project began as an invitation these 45 chefs received to cook in a refectory in Milan that Massimo Bottura had renovated to feed people in need. The premise: the only ingredients allowed were those a van collected each day from the produce that supermarkets were about to throw away. The result: incredible, surprising recipes made with everyday products and very easy to prepare.
Each menu is accompanied by photographs of every dish, photographs of the chef's visit to the refectory in Milan and a short text/interview recalling the experience.
