Wavy Grill LIF in Cast Aluminium with Folding Handle Ibili

The Wavy Grill LIF by Ibili is made of warp-resistant cast aluminium and has a ridged surface that marks food with the lines typical of grilling. The ridges lift the food above the fat, helping to cook meat, fish and vegetables more healthily.

Its 3-layer Xylan Plus non-stick coating, PFOA-free, lets you cook with little oil and clean easily. The wooden handle is folding, stays cool over the heat and reduces the space needed to store it.

In the kitchen

The ridges mark food with grill lines and drain the fat, so red meats look and taste better: entrecôte, T-bone steak, burgers, lamb cutlets or skewers. Also good are chicken breasts and thighs and firm fish such as tuna, salmon, cuttlefish or king prawns, which withstand turning without falling apart. For vegetables —courgette, aubergine, asparagus, onion or pepper in strips— the ridges give the characteristic grilled finish. With cast aluminium distributing heat evenly, it is enough to brush the food with a little oil and cook over medium-high heat to sear.

Care and maintenance

To preserve the Xylan Plus non-stick, use wooden, silicone or nylon utensils and avoid scratching the ridges with metal cutlery. Cook over medium heat, since cast aluminium retains heat well and excessive temperatures shorten the life of the coating. Let the piece cool to warm and wash it by hand with warm water, mild soap and a non-abrasive sponge; a soft brush helps to clean the channels between the ridges. The wooden handle should not be submerged: clean it with a damp cloth and dry it well. Store it with the handle folded.
