Description
The Garcima flat gas paella burner is a ring burner designed for cooking authentic paellas with butane or propane gas, indoors or out. Its flat-tube design spreads the heat evenly across the whole base of the paella pan, helping the rice cook uniformly and giving you better control over each stage of cooking.
Gas connections vary from country to country: if your country does not share the Spanish connection, the burner is manufactured to order with the connection for your destination country, which takes around 10 days. Some countries do share the Spanish connection, in which case shipping is immediate subject to stock.
Unlike round-tube burners, these latest-generation flat models feature an extra ring inside the first burner and gas outlets on both sides of the tube. The result is a more powerful burner that spreads the flame more evenly across the paella pan, heats it faster and allows finer control over the different times a good paella needs.
They have a coat of vitrified enamel that makes maintenance easier and extends the burner's working life. They are made by Garcima, a renowned Valencian manufacturer of paella pans, paella burners and traditional utensils. These models are approved for butane and propane gas —a natural gas version is also available— and comply with European safety and quality directive 90/369/EEC.

Sizes not shown in the list fall in the gap between the burner rings and are not recommended by the manufacturer.
With natural gas it is best to choose a smaller pan than the one shown in this table, because the burner delivers less power than with butane or propane.
The recommended paella pan sizes are a guide; other sizes can be used.

The size of the burner is chosen according to the diameter of the paella pan you are going to use and the number of guests. In the table above, each diameter shows the recommended paellas: for example, a 30 cm burner works well for paella pans from 40 to 55 cm (servings for several people), while the 50, 60 or 70 cm ones are designed for large paella pans and big gatherings. The models with 3 and 4 rings let you light the burners separately, so you can adjust the heat zone to the size of the paella pan at any moment.
Yes. These burners are approved for butane and propane gas. A natural gas version is also available, and they comply with European safety directive 90/369/EEC.
The flat burner has an extra ring in the first burner and gas outlets on both sides of the tube. This makes it more powerful and spreads the flame more evenly under the paella pan, heating it faster and allowing better control of cooking than a round-tube burner.
It depends on the diameter of your paella pan and the number of guests. In the size table you'll find, for each burner diameter, the recommended paellas (they are a guide). If you're torn between two sizes, choose the one that covers the paella pan size you'll use most.
The 20 and 30 cm models have 2 rings; the 40 and 50 cm ones, 3 rings; and the 60 and 70 cm ones, 4 rings. On the 3- and 4-ring models you can light the burners separately to adjust the heat zone.
It is mainly designed for cooking outdoors. As it runs on gas, if used in a covered space it must always have good ventilation. For terraces, gardens and outdoors it is the ideal option.
Yes. Thanks to its coat of vitrified enamel and the fact that gas leaves no combustion residue, you just let it cool and clean it to keep it in perfect condition for a long time.
No. Although it is designed for paella, its temperature control and even heat distribution make it perfect for fideuá, rice dishes, stews and other recipes you make in a paella pan.
