Complete kit with a Flames T-180 paella burner, 18 cm (4.1 kW, 1 ring), a 34 cm enamelled Valencian paella pan by Garcima, a set of long adjustable Flames legs, a 30 mbar gas kit and a stainless steel spatula. For 1 or 2 servings of thin-layer rice. Made in Valencia.
Description
The small Flames T-180 paella burner kit is the most compact set we sell: a single-ring 18 cm burner rated at 4.1 kW, a 34 cm enamelled Garcima paella pan, adjustable legs, the 30 mbar gas kit and the spatula. It is designed for paella for two (up to 6 tasting portions) on a balcony, a small terrace, in the campervan or at the campsite. It fits in the boot, sets up in two minutes and with a camping or standard butane bottle you are cooking straight away.
The whole kit is made in Valencia: the burner, legs and windshield by Flames VLC (Alginet) and the pan and gas kit by Garcima. We have been selling paella burners in Valencia since 1977 and we have sized the set so that the flame covers the diameter of the pan, which is what decides whether the rice cooks the same in the centre and at the edge.
For anyone living in a flat who wants to cook paella on the balcony or terrace without bulky equipment, for campervans and campsites (it runs on small camping bottles with their regulator) and as a second burner for a paella for two when it is not worth lighting the big one. If you are usually more than four, look at the T-250 or the T-300.
With the 34 cm pan you get 1 or 2 servings of thin-layer rice, which is how paella is served in Valencia, or up to 6 tasting portions as part of a menu. The T-180 burner also takes pans of other sizes, so you can extend the kit later without changing the burner.

The T-180 burner runs on bottled butane or propane (29/37 mbar). The kit includes a 30 mbar regulator, the approved hose and the clamps: you only have to connect the bottle. For natural gas, contact us before buying.
If you are going to use the kit outside Spain, the burner is built specifically for your country: Flames prepares it with the gas connection approved at destination and with the manual and labels in your language (French, German or English depending on the country). To order it we need two details: the country of use and the type of gas (bottled butane/propane or natural gas; in Germany and Austria always propane at 50 mbar). This made-to-order build adds a few days to the delivery time. Please note that on orders shipped outside Spain the gas kit (hose, clamps and regulator) is not included, because the regulator and hose depend on each country's regulations; the rest of the kit is shipped complete. Tell us the country and gas in the order comment or write to us before buying.
The smallest Garcima kit mounts a 30 cm burner with a 46 cm pan; the T-180 is the choice when you need less size, less consumption and less weight. Both are Valencian manufacturers with a 3-year guarantee; the choice depends on the type of flame you prefer: a single ring on Flames, burners in a line on Garcima. You can compare it with the 30 cm flat Garcima kit and see all our paella burner and pan kits.
With such a small ring, the 34 cm pan is the largest we advise: any bigger and the edges get no heat. Light the burner with the pan already in place and out of the wind, and do not fill the pan with stock to the brim, because at 34 cm it spills over easily.
The enamelled Garcima pan needs no seasoning or oiling: wash it with water and soap, dry it and put it away. Avoid knocks on the rim (the enamel can chip) and do not leave it empty on the flame at full power. The Flames burner is steel with a heat-resistant finish; clean it cold with a brush and store it dry.
Buying the kit you can be sure that burner, pan, legs, windshield and gas kit are compatible with each other, everything arrives together and ready to cook (only the gas bottle is missing) and it costs less than buying the parts separately. Each kit is sold as one unit; if you need another pan size for the same burner, you will find it on the enamelled pan product page.
