Description
The large Flames T-500 paella burner kit mounts a two-ring 50 cm burner rated at 15.5 kW with a 70 cm enamelled Garcima paella pan, reinforced legs, windshield, 50 mbar gas kit and spatula. It is the kit for clubs, associations and big families: 9 to 12 servings of thin-layer rice and up to 25 tasting portions, with a burner that carries the weight and heat of a full 70 cm pan without warping.
The whole kit is made in Valencia: the burner, legs and windshield by Flames VLC (Alginet) and the pan and gas kit by Garcima. We have been selling paella burners in Valencia since 1977 and we have sized the set so that the flame covers the diameter of the pan, which is what decides whether the rice cooks the same in the centre and at the edge.
For clubs, societies, residents' associations and large families who cook paellas of 10 to 12 servings. The difference from the T-460 is not only size: the T-500 has a wider outer ring and 15.5 kW, so it brings a 70 cm pan full of stock to the boil without effort.
With the 70 cm pan you get 9 to 12 servings of thin-layer rice, which is how paella is served in Valencia, or up to 25 tasting portions as part of a menu. The T-500 burner also takes pans of other sizes, so you can extend the kit later without changing the burner.

The T-500 burner runs on bottled butane or propane (29/37 mbar). The kit includes a 50 mbar regulator, the approved hose and the clamps: you only have to connect the bottle. For natural gas, contact us before buying.
If you are going to use the kit outside Spain, the burner is built specifically for your country: Flames prepares it with the gas connection approved at destination and with the manual and labels in your language (French, German or English depending on the country). To order it we need two details: the country of use and the type of gas (bottled butane/propane or natural gas; in Germany and Austria always propane at 50 mbar). This made-to-order build adds a few days to the delivery time. Please note that on orders shipped outside Spain the gas kit (hose, clamps and regulator) is not included, because the regulator and hose depend on each country's regulations; the rest of the kit is shipped complete. Tell us the country and gas in the order comment or write to us before buying.
Its Garcima equivalent is the 50 cm flat kit with 70 cm pan and 50 mbar regulator; the T-500 offers two independent rings instead of three burners in a line. Both are Valencian manufacturers with a 3-year guarantee; the choice depends on the type of flame you prefer: 2 independent concentric rings on Flames, burners in a line on Garcima. You can compare it with the 50 cm flat Garcima kit with 70 cm pan and see all our paella burner and pan kits.
With a full 70 cm pan the reinforced legs are no luxury: stock and rice together easily exceed 15 kg. Place the kit on firm, level ground, and with the 50 mbar regulator in the kit you will notice no lack of pressure when you open both rings at once.
The enamelled Garcima pan needs no seasoning or oiling: wash it with water and soap, dry it and put it away. Avoid knocks on the rim (the enamel can chip) and do not leave it empty on the flame at full power. The Flames burner is steel with a heat-resistant finish; clean it cold with a brush and store it dry.
Buying the kit you can be sure that burner, pan, legs, windshield and gas kit are compatible with each other, everything arrives together and ready to cook (only the gas bottle is missing) and it costs less than buying the parts separately. Each kit is sold as one unit; if you need another pan size for the same burner, you will find it on the enamelled pan product page.
