Description
The Flames T-250 paella burner kit pairs a single-ring 25 cm burner rated at 5.9 kW with a 40 cm enamelled Garcima paella pan, adjustable legs, windshield, 30 mbar gas kit and spatula. It is the kit for 2 to 4 people: paella for a couple or a small family, on the terrace or in the garden, without taking up the space of a large burner. It has everything you need to start the day it arrives.
The whole kit is made in Valencia: the burner, legs and windshield by Flames VLC (Alginet) and the pan and gas kit by Garcima. We have been selling paella burners in Valencia since 1977 and we have sized the set so that the flame covers the diameter of the pan, which is what decides whether the rice cooks the same in the centre and at the edge.
For couples and families of up to 4 who cook paella every week or two at home. It is the balance between size and consumption: 0.43 kg/h of gas, so a 12.5 kg bottle lasts for many paellas. If you often have guests, the T-300 with the 46 cm pan gives you more room.
With the 40 cm pan you get 2 or 3 servings of thin-layer rice, which is how paella is served in Valencia, or up to 9 tasting portions as part of a menu. The T-250 burner also takes pans of other sizes, so you can extend the kit later without changing the burner.

The T-250 burner runs on bottled butane or propane (29/37 mbar). The kit includes a 30 mbar regulator, the approved hose and the clamps: you only have to connect the bottle. For natural gas, contact us before buying.
If you are going to use the kit outside Spain, the burner is built specifically for your country: Flames prepares it with the gas connection approved at destination and with the manual and labels in your language (French, German or English depending on the country). To order it we need two details: the country of use and the type of gas (bottled butane/propane or natural gas; in Germany and Austria always propane at 50 mbar). This made-to-order build adds a few days to the delivery time. Please note that on orders shipped outside Spain the gas kit (hose, clamps and regulator) is not included, because the regulator and hose depend on each country's regulations; the rest of the kit is shipped complete. Tell us the country and gas in the order comment or write to us before buying.
Compared with the 30 cm flat Garcima kit, the T-250 is smaller and lighter; if you prefer a 46 cm pan, choose the T-300 or the 30 cm Garcima kit. Both are Valencian manufacturers with a 3-year guarantee; the choice depends on the type of flame you prefer: a single ring on Flames, burners in a line on Garcima. You can compare it with the 30 cm flat Garcima kit and see all our paella burner and pan kits.
In a 40 cm pan the rice must stay in a thin layer: about 320 g of rice for 4 servings. Put in more and the layer thickens and you lose the socarrat. The windshield included in the kit saves gas and stops the flame leaning to one side on the terrace.
The enamelled Garcima pan needs no seasoning or oiling: wash it with water and soap, dry it and put it away. Avoid knocks on the rim (the enamel can chip) and do not leave it empty on the flame at full power. The Flames burner is steel with a heat-resistant finish; clean it cold with a brush and store it dry.
Buying the kit you can be sure that burner, pan, legs, windshield and gas kit are compatible with each other, everything arrives together and ready to cook (only the gas bottle is missing) and it costs less than buying the parts separately. Each kit is sold as one unit; if you need another pan size for the same burner, you will find it on the enamelled pan product page.
